June 26-30th | 9:30am-3:00pm
Do you know where your vegetables come from? Have you ever tried to grow anything on your own before? Whether you have a green thumb or not - we are inviting makers to spend a week learning about the natural world through a variety of project-based experiences! The main goal for this project is to build two plant beds from scratch in our woodshop for a local community garden, and plant a batch of vegetables for our community to enjoy. August 2023
H2Go! | Ages: 7-11 | Full Day
July 31st- Aug 4th | 9:30am-3:00pm
Water is pretty important right? On Earth we find a way to use it everyday. The theme of this camp week is H20 - we will tackle challenges and activities based on water and its unique properties each day! To take things a step further, we will use the makerspace machines and tools in order to build, design, and decorate a case for a rain barrel. The rain barrel we work on at Gizmo will be donated to a local organization for the community to use -- we need your help to pull this off! We are calling all artists, woodshop enthusiasts, and thinkers to wash into H2GO!

Kinetic Changes | Ages: 12-15 | Full Day
August 21st-25th | 9:30am-3:00pm
Our material world is governed by a unique set of laws discovered through the science of physics! For example, how do we explain what happens when a pencil rolls off your desk... ? Gizmo is inviting curious thinkers to expand your knowledge of physics through a variety of hands-on activities. Work in the woodshop, electronics lab and more in this brain-bending summer camp. By the end of this camp students' knowledge will be put to the test - makers will build a giant coin-collecting apparatus that combines elements of art, engineering, woodworking, technology and humanity. The coins collected for this project will be donated to a local organization to support kinship in our community as makers. Reimagine the way you create in Kinetic Changes!

Scholarship Information
Gizmo reserves half of all camp spots for scholarship recipients. Scholarships are based on financial need and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Gizmo uses a sliding scale system for scholarships: you decide what your family can reasonably contribute toward your child's camp experience, and Gizmo covers the difference. Families may apply for one scholarship per child, per summer, for the camp(s) of their choosing.
The 2023 Summer Camp Scholarship Application is now open. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please complete this form -- do not register your child for camp. We will follow up with special registration instructions once your application has been processed.
