Gizmo Needs YOU!
Volunteers are vital to what we do and who we are.
You are the grease and gears that enable Gizmo to fulfill our mission and build creative confidence and curiosity through programs that give all people access to tools, technologies, and mentors.
Join with us and together we can change the world!
Ready to get started?
Gizmo has volunteer needs in several areas: Volunteer Job Postings can be viewed here.
If you are not a member, or have never been to Gizmo before, please make some time to come for a visit and in-person tour of the space. We want to get to know you and introduce you to our community.
If you are previously familiar with Gizmo, and you see a volunteer opportunity that is the perfect fit for you, please click below to access our volunteer application. We are so excited to have you join with us and put your lifetime of skills and experience to work in a way that gives back to our community.

Nate Hunt
How would one describe Nate? Some might say that he defies description. One thing is for certain, Nate is a person who lives fully and joyfully. From the first moment Nate walked in Gizmo’s doors, he has brought laughter and stories and generosity. And more stories. :-)
Nate first offered to volunteer at Gizmo right before summer season and immediately made himself a valuable member of the Gizmo family. From general caretaking of the makerspace to helping out in specific shops to organizing all the random loose hex keys into functional sets to assisting during summer youth camps, Nate likes to say he is always on call to be the extra hands on deck. Multiple hands, in fact, since Nate often brings his fantastic kids to help around the makerspace as well. This whole family was instrumental in the success of Gizmo’s Toy Prototype event at Art on the Green.
How would we describe Nate? Well, Nate brings the music to the party. That says it all.
